Come and join the 24^th Kitchener Scouting Family for a swim and a pizza dinner at Lyle Hallman Pool in Kitchener. We will have the entire pool including the red slide and hot tub/whirlpool. We will then meet in the recreation room for a pizza dinner.

IMPORTANT

The City of Kitchener has changed the rules that apply to children participating in recreational swims. Please read the following rules to avoid disappointment at the pool.

RECREATIONAL SWIM ADMISSION GUIDELINES AT CITY OF KITCHENER POOLS

NON-SWIMMERS

Children under 10 years who are non-swimmers MUST be accompanied by an individual who is 12 years or older and responsible for their direct supervision. Maximum ratio: three children to one individual (3:1).

STRONG SWIMMERS

Children under 10 years who are strong swimmers may take the facility swim test to determine if they can enter the pool by themselves.

ALL CHILDREN UNDER SEVEN YEARS

Children under seven years of age MUST be accompanied by an individual who is 12 years or older and responsible for their direct supervision. Maximum ratio: two children to one individual (2:1).

Direct supervision is defined as being within arm’s reach in the water and being able to render immediate assistance.

SWIM TEST: Must swim on their front 15 meters with the ability to put their face in the water and take at least one (1) breath without putting their feet on the bottom of the pool.
