How & Why?

The way that Scouting achieves its mission is different from other youth movements.
The same very successful approach has been used since the first camp in 1907.
This method consists of:
– Commitment to values, summarized in the Scout Promise
– Learning through experiences, especially outdoors
– Teamwork emphasizing cooperation rather than competition
– Participation in small groups
– Progressive, personally challenging programs
– Youth leadership and age-appropriate decision making roles.

And to carry out the spirit of the Scout Law.

kind and cheerful,
considerate and clean,
wise in the use of all resources.
