The appropriate packing list depends on the type of camping and the place you are camping.    Are you in cabins, Adirondacks or tents; does  the place you are camping supply dishes and have mattresses or not.   

There are some things that you need to do no matter which kind of camping you are doing 

• Put your name on all equipment and clothes
• Select the amount of clothes considering how much can get wet, e.g. playing in the  snow or cray fishing in the water.
• Consider how far you have to carry your stuff.
