Packing List

PACKING LIST

July 2, 2010.

Pack your gear into a duffle-type bag, a Rubbermaid bin (max 72L), or a back pack. It is preferred that your packing container has no sharp corners or metal frames. Please make sure your Scout can handle this container without assistance.

Clothing

• 2 Long sleeve Shirts

• 2 Pair Long Pants

• 6 Pair Socks

• 6 Pair Underwear

• 3 Pair Shorts (+wear 1 pair)

• 4 Short sleeve Shirts/T-Shirts

• 1 Sweater/Sweatshirt

• wind breaker/ light jacket

• hat for sun (with full brim) A must. (not a ball cap)

• Running Shoes

• Footwear for wet weather

• Water shoes/Sandals (for wearing to and from the beach as well as into the showers)

• swim suit

• towel (swim/shower)

• Rain Wear (jacket and pants better than poncho)

Toiletry Kit

These toiletries will not be allowed in the tents. Please send them is some kind of kit or ditty bag that can be hung in the dining shelter.

• Bar of (Bio-degradable) Soap in Plastic box

• Shampoo, Bio-degradable, small sample size

• Tooth Brush

• Tooth Paste

• Small Plastic Cup (for Teeth brushing)

• Comb/Brush

• Face Cloth

• Hand towel (small)

• Deodorant•

• Chapstick

• Suntan Lotion• (small)

• Bug repellent •

•NO SPRAYS – Please bring lotion or stick form only. NO Pumps or Aerosol

Sleep Gear

• Sleeping (Bag in stuff sack)

• Sleep wear

• Pillow (Small or Inflatable)

• Sleeping Pad (fasten securely to sleeping bag)(no Air Mattresses)

OTHER

• Small flash light (batteries)

• Spending money – we suggest $25.00 to $30.00

• sunglasses

• Clothes Pins (4-5 Spring Type)

• Day Pack, School Pack

• Waterbottle (with a good seal and a way to carry it with you)

Mess Kit

• Plate, Bowl, Cup

• Knife, Fork, Spoon

• Mesh Ditty Bag to hold Mess Kit

Bikes/Other Equipment etc.

• Pencil/Pen/Reading Material/

• Bike (see note.)

• Bike Helmet (bring separately)

• Bike Lock (on bike so as not to interfere with the bikes safe operation)

• PFD (if you have one)

• Sand Toys (a few to share) (optional)

• Pool Noodles etc. (optional)

Uniform

The uniform for this camp will be the camp T-Shirt and at times include our Scout necker.

You will receive your T-Shirts at departure time.

DO NOT BRING

Firearms – fireworks – knives (except as described elsewhere herein) –matches – food – pop -candy – electronic games – radios – walkmen, Ipods – rollerblades – cellphones.

Air mattresses and Beach Balls will not be permitted on the beach or in the water

Medications – Hand in at departure!

Any and all medications, whether or not prescription, MUST:

• – be in the original container.

• – be clearly marked with Scout’s name

• – have complete and explicit instructions.(When, How much, Why?)

• – NOT be in the boys packs

• – be given to the leaders night before departure.

Departure:

•  Wear Camp T – Shirt (provided)

•  Wear Your Necker & Woggle

•  Wear shorts.

•  Hand in Health Card (Original) in sealed envelope.

•  Hand in Medications (see above)

At departure you will receive your camp shirt.

When you come to departure, just wear “any old” T-Shirt and your necker. You will have an opportunity change to your new camp shirt before we leave.

‘Where Are You’ Forms

These were handed out at the camp meeting in early June. I will need these delivered to my house on or before Wednesday, July 14 as I need to organize and prepare copies for the leaders and our contact parent.

Names on everything!!

We expect you to pack your own things for camp with adult assistance only as required. You will be able to find things in your pack better if you put them in yourself.
