Everton Scout Camp
| When | Meet in the church parking lot at… 6:00 PM on Friday, Jan. 20, 2012.Departing the camp parking lot at… 12:00 noon on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012.Allow 45 min – 1 hr travel time. |
| Where | Everton Scout Camp. Lions Lair. Drop off at Cub Entrance(upper). Pickup at Scout camp Entrance. Click here for Map (if you zoom in to the map you can see the camp entrances and cabin locations) |
| Transportation | We will be carpooling from the church Parking lot. |
| What You need | Printable packing list Here |
| Accomodations | We have a heated cabin. Toilets are of the outback ‘KYBO’ type. See photos below. |
| Meals | Eat at home before coming to camp on Friday night. A snack will be provided before leaving the camp on Sunday. |
| Medications | Absolutely all medications must -be in the original container. -have explicit directions and boys’ name on the container. -not be packed in the boys’ gear. -be given directly to the LEADER by the PARENT on arrival at the church. |
| Parent/Guardian | You are welcome to join with us for this weekend. Please Let you Leaders know. |

Pack – Corn Maze

We will be going to Strom’s on Oct 24th.
Parents and siblings are welcome.
Meet at church at 6:20 pm October 24th.
Do the maze, enjoy a campfire and snack afterwards.
Cost: $10 per person – please try to bring to Oct 21st meeting.
Bring a small flashlight.
Dress for the weather.

| On the evening of Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Victoria Park, Kitchener, many Honours & Awards were presented to some very deserving Scouting youth and leaders. Some of these awards were presented to members of 24th Kitchener and we are proud of their hard work and accomplishments. | |

Scouter Roger was presented with the Silver Acorn, one of Scouting’s most prestigious awards. This award is “for especially distinguished service to Scouting“.

Scouter Peter was presented with the Murray Fried Memorial Scouting Award. You will recognize Scouter Peter as the Manager of our local Scout Shop, but Scouter Peter’s roots are with 24th Kitchener. He was a 24th Cub way back when and then a 24th Scout leader for many years. Scouter Peter is the one that started our Annual Christmas Tree Sale 18 years ago! - A tradition that continues today and is responsible for making Scout Jamborees and other events affordable for many Scouting youth. |
Silver Acorn for a 24th Kitchener Scouter

Roger Farnham has been selected to receive one of Scouting’s most prestigious awards, the Silver Acorn. This is an award “for especially distinguished service to Scouting“. We are all very proud of Roger and we congratulate him on this wonderful recognition.
The North Waterloo Area Awards Evening, on May 26th, 2011, will see our Area recognize Roger’s milestone. The details for the evening are listed on the NWA site.
This is a great opportunity for the 24th Kitchener Scouting family to come out and support Roger. Bring yourself, some dishes, a chair or blanket and your hunger for the BBQ, then join other Scouters and Scouts in this evening of fellowship, pride and kinship with Roger.

Cub Field Trip to Camp Mohawk

On Thursday, May 5th at 6:30 we will be going down to Camp Mohawk for a night of exploring, investigating and cooking on an open fire! Our meeting will start at the parking lot at the roundabout at the end of Lancaster st.(Where the Grand Hotel/Huggies was). Please be prompt so we can make the most of our time!
